day in my life! (self isolation edition)

Hello there! Since I'm still in self-isolation in my home due to the massive spread of COVID-19, I thought I would give an updated "day in my life"! I uploaded a video on my youtube channel (panda eclair) and I decided to post another! I hope this helps you try to establish more of a routine and stay sane (even though you can't hang out with your friends face-to-face). Without further ado, here is my routine (with gifs ofc)! <3

7:30-7:50 I *try* to wake up at 7:30, but I've been sleeping in a little bit, so I usually get out of bed at those times.

8:00-9:00 (yes, that long!) I eat breakfast, and it mainly takes so long because I am either reading on my Kindle (currently on HP and the Half-Blood Prince), doing some online work, or just watching YouTube videos :)! My breakfast is always very simple, like today I just had some hummus with tortilla chips. I also recommend eating more FILLING breakfasts, but I eat small in the morning (I HATE breakfast, the food is just not that good to me...)

9:00-9:05 I like to plan out my online learning assignments. I use my school planner and I like to write down my tasks while looking at Google Classroom (that's the platform my school uses to give us work and to announce stuff). This is also the time I plan out meeting and daily events I have on Google Calendar. this just helps me organize my mind and make sure I don't forget to do something!

Around 9:05-11:30, I do my homework. I really like to do quizzes earlier in the day, and I make sure to get as much work done in this time period so I have relaxation time in the afternoon and night.

12:45-1:30 (somewhere in this time period) I eat lunch, and it is also very simple. I like to have some noodles, like udon or, of course, instant noodles.

After lunch, my homework is either done or almost done, and I usually have some Google Meets or a Zoom meeting with some of my teachers.

Since I play the flute, if I feel like it, I practice for about 15-30 minutes (I know, I should practice more!).

After that, I just lounge around, and if I wanted to be more productive, I could be studying biology (basically, I am planning on attending IMSA as an undergraduate, so I have to study a high school science course. however, my school does not offer advanced sciences, so I am doing that at home. I am currently taking algebra in school so I don't have to worry about that!) I like to watch movies with my family as well, and if you need Netflix movie recommendations, please let me know!

Finally, I start to get ready for bed... I try to get into comfort mode by 9:30, and I like to read in bed with my Kindle. I have a Kindle Paperwhite, and the light on it lets me read a little bit at night. I find that reading in bed is way better than reading during her any time of day (which might not be the best habit to have considering I stay at home all day, but oh well!)

I hope you liked to read about what I do at home during this time of crisis, but please remember to stay healthy and to help stop the spread of COVID-19 by staying at home, practicing social distancing, not touching your face too much, washing things (like counters and cleaning your house more often, just for sanitary reasons!) and most importantly, wash your hands!

love, toasty :)

p.s. if you're still here, this is my video that I mentioned at the beginning of this post!
