chocolate chip cookie recipe :) 🍪

you read that right. it's time for chocolate + cookies ❤️

*note: this is a recipe from my foods class @ school, and they are sooooo good!!




ingredients:

  • Flour (1 cup + 2 Tbsp)

  • Baking Soda (1/2 tsp)

  • Salt (1/2 tsp)

  • Softened margarine or butter (1 stick = 8 tbsp)

  • Sugar (¼ cup + 2 tbsp)

  • Brown Sugar (1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp)

  • Large egg (1)

  • Vanilla (1/2 tsp)

  • Chocolate Chips (2/3 cup)





you will also need...


  • Small mixing bowl

  • Large mixing bowl

  • Wooden spoon

  • Rubber scraper

  • Hand mixer

  • Parchment paper


directions:


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°.

  2. In a small mixing bowl, measure and combine the dry ingredients.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the margarine/butter, sugar, and brown sugar with a hand mixer.

  4. Add the egg and vanilla to the creamed mixture and mix with the hand mixer.

  5. Using a wooden spoon, add four mixture to the large mixing bowl about 1/3 at a time. Then scrape the bowl with a rubber scraper to blend the remaining ingredients.

  6. Add chocolate chips and stir.

  7. Place parchment paper on two cookie sheets.

  8. Divide dough into 24 portions and roll into balls. Then, place the dough balls onto the baking sheet.

  9. Place in the oven for 9-11 minutes.

  10. When cookies are golden brown, let cookie pans cool for 4-5 minutes. Slide parchment paper onto the table and let the pans continue to cool.

  11. When cookies are cool to touch, enjoy!
